Is the AI reading my actual financial data or giving generic answers?
It reads your actual data. The AI Assistant is connected to your Paycape workspace — your invoices, expenses, payroll records, client data, and transactions. When you ask "what was our payroll cost last month?", it queries your actual payroll records and returns the real figure, not an estimate or generic guidance.
Is my financial data safe with the AI?
Yes. Your data is never used to train AI models and never shared with third parties. The AI queries your data in real time to generate an answer, and that data remains encrypted and private within your Paycape workspace. We use OpenAI's enterprise API which has strict data processing agreements in place.
Which plan includes the AI Assistant?
The AI Assistant is available on all paid plans. Business and Max plans get unlimited AI queries per month. Starter plan includes 50 queries per month. The Free plan does not include AI Assistant access.
Can the AI file my taxes or take actions in my workspace?
Currently the AI Assistant is read-only — it answers questions and surfaces insights but does not take actions like creating invoices or submitting filings. This is by design: you stay in control of all financial actions. Future updates will introduce AI-assisted workflows for routine tasks.
