About Paycape

Building the financial infrastructure for African businesses.

We are on a mission to help African SMBs take full control of their finances — with tools built for local compliance, real Nigerian tax regulations, and the way African businesses actually operate.

Our mission

Built for the realities of African business

Paycape was founded in Lagos with a clear belief: African businesses deserve financial tools that actually understand their local reality. No more wrestling with spreadsheets or forcing foreign tools to handle PAYE, NSITF, NHF, WHT, or CIT.

We are building a finance operating system that automates tax compliance, simplifies payroll, and gives business owners real-time visibility into their finances — all built natively for Nigerian regulations.

We are 100% bootstrapped — no investor pressure, no external funding. Built from revenue and conviction. Every feature we ship exists because our users need it.

"We built Paycape because we watched too many Nigerian business owners lose money to disorganised finances — not because their business was bad, but because they had no simple system. We decided to build that system."

Our story so far

2024
Founded in Lagos — two people, one clear frustration with the state of business finance tools in Nigeria.
Early 2025
First businesses onboarded. PAYE auto-calculation launched — customers reporting hours saved every payroll run.
Mid 2025
WHT tracking, expense management, and budget controls launched. Growing across Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt.
2026
AI Assistant and advanced reporting launched. Serving businesses across Nigeria. 100% bootstrapped, profitable.
Our story

Started from frustration. Built from conviction.

After watching Nigerian business owners struggle with manual PAYE calculations, disconnected invoicing tools, and spreadsheet-based expense tracking — our founders decided enough was enough.

Paycape is completely bootstrapped. No investor rounds. No board telling us what to build. We build what our users actually need — because we talk to them constantly and we're building this for Nigeria, not for a Silicon Valley pitch deck.

Today, Paycape serves businesses across Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and beyond — helping them stop guessing their finances and start running with clarity.

Our values

What we stand for

01

Local First

Built for Nigerian tax laws, FIRS regulations, payroll rules, and business practices from day one. Not adapted — purpose-built for Africa.

02

Transparent

No hidden fees. No percentage cuts. Clear pricing. Your financial data is always yours and we will never sell it.

03

Growth-Focused

Every feature we build is designed to help African businesses scale with confidence — not just stay compliant.
