1. Who We Are

Paycape is a financial management platform operated by Paycape, a subsidiary of Tech Della Solutions Ltd, incorporated in Nigeria. We provide invoicing, payroll, expense management, tax tracking, and related financial tools for African businesses.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, "Paycape", "we", "us", or "our" refers to Tech Della Solutions Ltd trading as Paycape. Our contact address is Lagos, Nigeria. Email: privacy@paycape.com

2. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create a Paycape workspace, we collect your name, email address, phone number, business name, industry, and business address.

Financial data

To provide our services, we collect and process financial data you input, including: invoices and invoice recipients, expense records, payroll information (staff names, salaries, deductions), vendor and client details including TINs, bank account information for your virtual account, and transaction records.

Usage data

We collect information about how you use Paycape, including log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited), feature usage, and session information. This helps us improve the product.

Device and technical data

Browser type and version, operating system, device type, and timezone. No personally identifiable device fingerprinting.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We never use your financial data to train AI models without your explicit consent.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Paycape platform
  • Process invoices, payroll, and financial transactions on your behalf
  • Send transactional emails (invoice receipts, payslips, payment notifications)
  • Respond to your support requests and communicate with you about your account
  • Detect fraud, abuse, and security threats
  • Comply with legal obligations (including FIRS and NDPR requirements)
  • Send product updates and feature announcements (you may opt out at any time)

We process your data on the legal basis of contract performance (to provide the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (product improvement, security), and legal obligation (tax compliance, NDPR).

4. Information Sharing

We share data only in the following circumstances:

Service providers

We share data with third-party service providers who help us operate the platform: Paystack (payment infrastructure), Mono (bank connectivity), OpenAI (AI Assistant — data processed under strict data processing agreements, never used for model training), Resend (transactional email), Termii (SMS notifications), AWS (cloud infrastructure).

Legal requirements

We may disclose your data if required by Nigerian law, FIRS, EFCC, or valid legal process. We will notify you before disclosure unless prohibited by law or where disclosure is necessary to prevent harm.

Business transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of Paycape, your data may be transferred. You will be notified in advance with the opportunity to delete your account.

We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing companies.

5. Your Rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and its successor regulations, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements
  • Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdrawal of consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@paycape.com. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your workspace is active. Financial records (invoices, payroll, expenses) are retained for 7 years to comply with Nigerian tax law requirements. If you delete your account, your personal information is deleted within 90 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures: AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, role-based access controls, regular security audits, and 24/7 infrastructure monitoring. See our Security page for full details.

8. International Transfers

Your data is processed primarily in the EU (AWS eu-west-1). Where data is transferred outside Nigeria, we ensure adequate protection through Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms recognised under NDPR.

9. Children

Paycape is a business financial tool intended for adults operating businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately.

10. Policy Changes

We will notify you of material changes to this policy via email at least 30 days before they take effect. The current version is always available at paycape.com/privacy-policy.
